Art for me is about collecting scattered thoughts and loose ends into a focus, its compositing the world around you. It is somehow my way to raise my voice in order to get attention, to be listened to. It is perhaps not always the case that I have something really really important to say but nevertheless I wish to speak of the things that are on my mind.
I have throughout the years stayed faithful to where I came from, that is; I started to paint when I was younger and it is still mainly what I do as an artist. But being naturally curious I can´t keep my hands away from other medias such as photography and video. So sometimes I try to get all these medias to work together in a soulful harmony, which is actually quite hard.
Often my works deals with questions about belief, religion, utopia/ dystrophia, quasi-politic, wars and destruction...
But sometimes I just wish to paint a beautiful landscape or a kitsch sunset...
Konst handlar för mig om att samla ihop lösa trådar och splittrade tankar till ett fokus, att sätta samman världen runt omkring mig. Det är på något sätt mitt sätt att höja rösten för att få uppmärksammhet, att bli lyssnad till. Det är inte alltid så att jag har något viktigt att berätta men ändå vill jag tala, berätta om sådant som rör sig inuti mitt huvud.
Genom åren har jag stannat kvar och varit trogen mitt ursprung; jag började att måla när jag var yngre och det är fortfarande det jag gör först och främst som konstnär. Men rastlöst nyfiken som jag är kan jag inte låta bli att fingra lite på andra medier såsom fotografi och video. Ibland försöker jag att låta dessa medier mötas och arbeta tillsammans till en harmoni, något som inte alltid är så lätt.
Mina arbeten handlar ofta om tro, religion, utopier och dystropier, kvasi-politik, krig och förstörelse...
Men ibland så vill jag bara måla ett vackert landskap eller en kitschig solnedgång...
